Island of Brać

Island of Brać

The island has many beautiful towns to explore, each with its own architecture and hospitality. Here are some of our suggestions for the Island:

Bol: Zlatni Rat Beach – The world famous beach that shifts over time. The exact shape and length of the landform vary with regard to changes in tide, current, and wind. Often referred to as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn, Zlatni Rat is a spit of land located about 2 kilometers (1 mile) west from the harbour town of Bol. Zlatni Rat has been regularly listed as one of the top beaches in Europe

Bol: Day trip to Hvar – Catch a boat in Bol and explore the island of Hvar for the day.

Wine Tour – Visit and tour the award-winning Stina Winery located in Bol: http://stina-vino.hr/en/

Vidova Gora – The highest peak in the Adriatic – what an amazing view!!! On a clear day, you can see as far away as Italy.

Škrip – The oldest settlement on Brać

Blaca – This secluded religious settlement was originally established in 1551 by two Glagolitic monks, and continued by successive generations of monks until 1963. Although no longer functioning, it is a must see museum for its architecture and hidden location.

Fešta – Every Town in Dalmatia has it’s own “Fešta”. The streets are shut down, bands are brought in, and the town parties until sunrise. Here are some of our favorites on Brać:

– Selca – Gospa Karmelska – July 16
– Sumartin – Gospe od Anđela – August 2
– Bol – Gospa Snježna – August 5

*NOTE: There is a tourist bureau in Sumartin that can provide additional information, as well as
help plan your outings.
